Toucher and Rich (on WBCN) just happened to be in Peabody today at a restaurant that we just happened to want to visit. Leonard and I followed all of the members of the show (except B-Real) around like puppies and got our pictures taken with them. They were all, WOAHFANCYCAMERA and I was all YEAHSTAYSTILL.

I'm re-reading Harry Potter, and this is the best picture I could think of to display for today. I really didn't do much else at work. It was very very slow. And other than watching many hours of Food Network programming, I've gone back to reading. Oh, and drinking alone in my room. Have I mentioned my newly-discovered love for Meyer's Jamaican Rum? It's delicious. Harry Potter + alcohol = productive night of fun. Don't judge me!

It's understandable if you can't comprehend this attractiveness. It's too hot to handle, that's for sure! We had quite a few to choose from for this, but I think we chose correctly. Other than that, at work I read If You Give a Cat a Cupcake to all 40 kids that showed up for the activity this week. Then we decorated cupcakes and made a huge mess. I told Susan that would be a bad idea. It was total chaos.

This game is called: "Find the hidden animal." You may or may not know this about me, but I am a messy person. I did a little cleaning/organizing/planning of attacking my mess today, which resulted in the loss of my dog. See if you can find him! I also went out with Michelle, Megan and Jon to Bad Abbots. Aside: There are some very sketchy men in Quincy.

I was misinformed about lab tonight. I got myself all excited to be playing with an EKG machine and when I get there, some blood pressure cuffs were hanging around. Ah well. It was really cool when we figured out how to work them and actually get a real reading. I felt a sense of accomplishment not only because we figured it out on our own but that I got an A on my big lab practical! It feels good to see a big red A. It's not something I see as often as I want.

Leonard and I had a fun-filled day playing with balsa wood planes at the beach and a little hiking at Blue Hills. We took many pictures and were all manner of cuteness. Naturally (except when we hit a woman's car with one of our planes). Right now, I'm working on my "interview" and it's going very slow because there are many things that keep distracting me. I probably have ADD if I believe it really exists. I'm still skeptical.

I don't know if you can tell here, but Deval Patrick was at school today to talk about all the money we got because we're a public school. Sweet! No tuition hike! In other news, Michelle helped me a great deal with an interview that is due in class on Thursday. There's nothing like talking about uncomfortable subjects in public places! Also, this makes for hours of entertainment.

Yay! I'm back from my week long vacation from the blog. I hope you didn't miss me too much. I think I'll just go back to updating everyday because I really did miss it when I wasn't writing everyday. Strangely, (or not so strangely) I can't recall too much of what happened to me last week besides New Hampshire and seeing Leonard many times. It's all very fuzzy. I need to keep writing if only for my need to remember what's happened to me! Speaking of, I couldn't sleep a wink last night due to a really annoying head cold that's starting. At 5 am I was fed up, took some NyQuil and finally slept.. until 3:30. Oops! Also, what do you think of the new look?

And here ends my year-long blog! It won't end forever, but I just happen to be taking a few days off so it works out really conveniently. However, when I start writing again, I have no idea what the titles should be. Maybe continue with numbering? Not too sure. Things have been pretty stressful lately and I still don't sleep well, but I'm getting through it. Midterms are here and it makes me want to pass out and wake up on Friday and forget it all. Today Leonard and I spent the day running around collecting and searching for things for our little trip. I can't even tell you how excited I am for it! You better believe I'll be writing about it when we get back. Also, I just wanted to thank my loyal readers for checking in on my blog all along. I love you guys!

One more day left! I can't believe how fast time flew by. I'll definitely keep the blog going, but I won't update as often I think. Or maybe I will. I don't know, I haven't decided yet. I also haven't been paying any attention to my photo blog, so I'll need to add to that soon. Today I spent my nutrition class revising my big paper that was due at 4. I'm pretty satisfied by how it came out. We watched Vertigo in that class because she had nothing else planned. We spent half an hour trying to figure out the DVD system.

I might complain about the work I have to do for my woman's studies classes, but I know I've been changed. Completely. They've taught me so much already that, for the most part, have never crossed my mind before and I know I'll carry the lessons with me for the rest of my life. I want to teach my daughters not to feel ashamed of their bodies and to respect themselves. I want to be able to talk to them about sex before they get the wrong ideas from someone else. To ignore the stupid shit they find in magazines that tell them how to dress and to act and how to please a man. I want them to be proud of who they are and not back down from a conflict just because they're girls and it's not lady-like to stand up for yourself. To be the help that I didn't get growing up.

At O'Brien's, Starbucks Saugus was celebrating Ralphie's departure from the company. It was so much fun to contribute to the debauchery (aka singing Bohemian Rhapsody at the top of our lungs and getting in trouble, etc). I had three Captain and colas (two were not made from the Captain, but the Malibu. I was lied to. But was delicious nonetheless) and some food. Leonard had a cake made from a picture of Ralphie's mancrush, Ryan Reynolds. So awesome! Oh, and I got to punch Russ a few times, mainly because he was too drunk to feel it. Also awesome.
